Producing an optical disc product, be it a CD or DVD title, involves many processes, many of which are highly technical and can be daunting to the uninitiated. Furthermore, a custom replicated disc is often incomplete without the appropriate packaging designed for its specific target market. Our design services will make all the difference to the perceived value of your finished product. In mastering, data from the disc master (CD-R, DVD-R or DLT) is used to create a stamper using an advanced mastering system. When this stamper is checked to be free from errors, it continues to the next phase known as replication, a process involving metalising, lacquering, UV (ultaviolet) drying and optical inspection. Each replicated disc now contains the exact replica of the data on the master disc.

Depending on the nature of the design of the disc label, the artwork is printing onto the disc using silkscreen or offset printing techniquesThe design and production of the product packaging takes place concurrent to the disc production process. The possibilities for packaging design are endless, the more popular being jewel cases with printed inlays and booklets, digi-trays with custom printed cardboard sleeves. For multi-disc products, we also design slipcases or other customized cases. Do enquire with our sales and design team for innovative ideas and styles.

The various manufactured components are now brought together for kitting and assembly where our customers have a choice of cello-wrapping or shrink-wrapping before packaging into cartons followed by delivery.

We respect intellectual property rights and require our clients to provide documentation such as indemnity declaration, authorisation by owners of copyrighted works, source identification code (SID) and Board of Film Censor certification (required for video works) before commencement of works.

Showreel

Archiving

Eliminate tape deterioration with BD. Depending on the chosen compression format, a single BD holds an enormous number of broadcast-grade HD video and with interactive menus, it makes searching through the hundreds of clips archived on disc a breeze. Compared to tape, BD is not prone to harmful electronic or magenetic fields and does not require controlled environments for storage. With a lifespan of more than 45 years, your BD archives can last for several generations!
